Pick up
Pickup Update: Starting today, I will be marking piles for the contactor. If you see a red X, it means there is a problem, and I will leave a note highlighting why.
Pickup will begin Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-5pm.
Please park any vehicles off the road as far as possible, especially if you are at the end of a cul-de-sac. It will make removal faster and safer.

Mitigation Weekend
A two-day event to work on mitigating the neighborhood. Gloves and tools will be on hand for anyone. If you need help, please email hlewildfire@gmail.com so we can try to get you volunteers. If you have specific concerns, please email us before the event. Please see the handout for how to stage materials. Free yard bags are available @ 4725 Overhill Drive inside the black bin. Pickup will look differently this year. To make sure we find someone with fair pricing and willing to do the contracted work, I will be getting bids on Monday and Tuesday. Pickup will begin shortly after. As long as your pile does not have a red X it will be picked up within the next week. If your pile has a red X I will leave the mitigation handout with a highlighted reason for rejection.

Pick-up Day
We will go through the neighborhood with a crew to woodchipper anything we can, and the rest will be removed by a crew from GotJunk . Please leave everything next to the road. Free mulch will be available after Monday to anyone who wants it. Please see the handout on bagging and fuel disposal. Anything deemed household trash will be left behind.

Project Presentation
It all began with an emergency and an idea. Join us Thursday May 5th at 7:30 PM for a presentation of the Wildfire Preparedness and Mitigation Project and the grant we received from the county. We will be presenting information to the HOA board on our project and how to protect our community in the future. We will use the Zoom platform. Cameras and mics will be turned off for participants. If you have questions, feel free to message us ahead of time at HLEwildfire@gmail.com or @HLEwildfire. During the presentation, please share your questions in the chat and we will have a Q&A session at the end.
