A Grant from LC OEM

This all began with an idea during an HOA meeting. How can we help harden ourselves against the next wildfire? I took it upon myself to brainstorm ideas for the community. My original idea was a small neighborhood cleanup day.

Then I was shown a grant opportunity from Larimer County Office of Emergency Management. LC OEM was also looking to get the community engaged in an effort to reduce risk.

Larimer County has had to declare more natural disasters than any other county in Colorado.

With a lot of hard work, late nights, and a lot of help from neighbors we were able to successfully receive a grant from LC OEM for our fire mitigation work. Now the real work begins. My once small idea for a neighborhood cleanup day has the backing of the OEM, now its time to show what we can do.
